I think my Sims have it pretty sweet.
If it looks like a clusterfuck that's because it is one, I'm nowhere near finished with the rest of the place. Got the bones done, though, give me a few months and the rest should be too:

Since when did the Sims get real licensed looking cars?
![]() 02/11/2015 at 11:12 |

you can download mods

Since the modding community started making them.

Man I gotta start playing the Sims again. What's the most current one they got now? Do they still have the easy money cheat codes? Haha

I'm sure 4's got all kinds of cheats in it, it is The Sims lol. Tbh I haven't heard anything good about it, the game shipped basically half-finished (no basements or pools or kids in CAS) and in a very EA move they're just going to pump out the paid DLC to make up for it.

So I'm probably better off finding a copy of the Sims 3 probably?

I'll take that garage, with a bedroom and bathroom off to one side. The refrigerator and microwave can go in the garage.

Most definitely, 3 is the definitive Sims title with its modding community, in-game options, graphics, etc. 4 is a watered-down, half-assed cash grab.

Good looking home. Nice garage too. How long did it take you to make?

Thank you, I'd guess the basic structure took about ten hours to make over the course of a week but there was about twice that much time spent on mocking up and proof-of-concept-testing prior to actually beginning construction (will this fit here, how much more room do I have on the lot, how will this look, etc.) That was a few months ago and I'm still fiddling with the interior layout and floorplan.
Main timesink was the garage, which wasn't in the original plan so I had to completely rebuild the house from the ground up; also had to manually excavate the area and get the wall heights to match up because the game's basement tool wouldn't let you build a garage like this without glitching the walls.
TL;DR: way too damn long haha.

Hell right now I'm still trying to find a house out here in Kansas City . Those make my want's go too high....All I want is a three car garage.

Sweet. Which room is the fab lab?

Hell, I'd sleep in one of the cars if that means I could drive the rest of them, I bet the Yukon's back seats are pretty comfy.

Maybe that top-right corner space in front of the Aventador, haven't really thought that far ahead yet. Trying to fit a movie theater and indoor pool down there too but one of them might go to make room for a sweet workshop.

Didn't know you were getting your own place, that's awesome man. I just want a garage, my little Focus has lived on the curb for the last four years, it deserves to be warm and happy indoors instead of sitting outside in the cold.

I need to start playing again.

I picked it back up after a few months of not playing it and forgot how cathartic it can be. It's a great outlet of creativity, especially if you just build houses like I do.

Oh man, I used to build amazing houses in Sims 2. Sims 3 I kinda lost it. Really fun though.

Same, I wasn't allowed to play actual video games until like high school so 2 was my shit for years. 3 I think has more staying power thanks to the modding communities, if you do start playing again check out modthesims and thesimsresource; two places together have just a retarded amount of content, it's like a whole new game.

I modded the Sims 2 and fucked it up. I'm fine without the mods, frankly.

No I'm not but I am looking for the Family.

It can be a crapshoot, definitely. I've got like 600 mods or cc objects in 3 and have had to delete about 20 or 30 because they crash the game or make it laggy as hell. Now that I remember it, I had to go into the game files and delete the intro sequence because my game wouldn't start without it so yeah, I know what you're talking about.

Oh, gotcha. Is functional internet high on your list of priorities?

Yes, yes it is. Hell possibly tonight we might go out for a new router to make our bridge.

they've got pools in it now, not sure about basements, haven't played it for awhile since I screwed it up with mods

Aw yiss. You better race this weekend, your ass has been gone from these series for too long.
![]() 02/11/2015 at 15:12 |

Ah yes, The Sims. A game I spend waaaaaayyyyyyyyy too much time playing.
![]() 02/11/2015 at 15:27 |

I'd personally put a soft minimum of at least 800 hours, like I don't even want to know how much time I've spent. I don't even play as the people, I just build houses and shit and it still takes me forever. Like that house probably took me 30 hours to get to that point and it's not even 1/3 of the way done. This game's like the definition of a time sink.

I know I know I also want to start a livestream for the races

Dude that'd be badass, do it. I think with Twitch you can save your capture so we could put them up on YouTube or something too.
![]() 02/11/2015 at 16:32 |

That's the plan possibly. I just need to figure out if twitch has an app on the 360 for streaming or if I can use it while using the TV app through Xbox One.
